Hi there - apologies. Thought I had replied. I have the latest upgrade offered to me for my MacBook Pro. Thankfully (fingers crossed) Picasa still works.
I have my photos stored on my MacBook Pro, on a separate hard drive and google photos back up (although I notice some of the photo files on my Mac have an x rather than a tick next to them denoting they have failed to upload to google photos, I do not know where they are stored. I also back up to iCloud through iTunes. I don’t know if this is the information you are looking for from a Mac user? RinusA 14/6/2018, 17:39 น. Hi - thank you for this. May I just ask is the reason for the ticks and crosses against my photos on my MacBook Pro ie on the computer hard drive from which Google photos is presumably backing up and from which Picasa reads, caused by this issue do you think?

FYI it keeps prompting me to back up to google photos when when I sync my iPhone with iTunes for example or plug in my camera to upload photos to google photos. I never use the photos in google photos back up area now I have a different website that does not link to google photos. I just thought I should back up to it in case it was vital to Picasa!
